12 contestants. But only 1 to take the title.
It’s the third week of Anime Idol!
After a considerable number of anime characters, we’ve come down to twelve hopefuls to vie for the prestige of becoming the first Anime Idol.
Each week, they will be put through a test to determine which should be properly idolized by the growing otaku community. Those who are not able to get enough merit would not move on and would be eliminated.
Last week, it was Edward Elric who couldn’t pursue the contest anymore and looked for the Philosopher’s Stone instead. Who leaves this week?
But first, a hint of the character attitude we’re looking for on Week 3:
A friend is a present you give yourself.
~ Robert Louis Stevenson
Have you guessed the attitude we’re looking for on Week 3? It was too easy…
Week 3: Friendliness
Is there anyone in this world who doesn’t have or would survive without having a friend? Friends are as important as the air we breathe.
And how does one get a friend? No, not by bribing but by a simple act of friendliness. This idea incorporates a lot of different things such as kindness, thoughtfulness, patience, and all other positive traits.
Sounds easy? Perhaps. Once a friend is gained, it also takes a lot of the positive traits to keep the friendship alive.
But a true friend can never be replaced by material things, so it’s a reward worth the hardship and the keep.
So, who leaves this week for lacking a more friendly demeanor?
This was a bit tricky for all the contestants won’t make it to their position if not for being friendly. And the one who gets booted this week is no exception, perhaps even friendlier than the rest. For one, he is called the “gentle rurouni”.
But it was his very dark (and bloody) past that made Kenshin Himura the weakest among our Anime Idol hopefuls.
As an assassin in the Tokugawa Period, Kenshin had killed a lot. He had brought unbearable pain to others. And when he finally changed, his past started to haunt him. One by one, people from his past (and even those who only wanted to rival his legendary skills) came in. It’s probably safe to say that a lot of people hate him.
But Kenshin bears all this, believing in his new ideal. Unfortunately, it’s not going to take a short time. And Anime Idol couldn’t wait that long…
So despite his gentle demeanor, Kenshin Himura leaves this contest on its Week 3. We’re pretty sure he wouldn’t mind at all…
It’s been a short time for Week 3 and only 09 hopefuls stay.
Who would remain strong until the end? Who would be strong enough to survive Week 4 of Anime Idol?
Here’s a clue for Week 4:
Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow.
