While the moon overhead is full and bright, and as a new term begins in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, we welcome a new group of witches to the school!
Let them have the best of their time as they learn more about the exciting lives of belonging to the magical community! Let them help shape the future of the wizarding world.
Take out the Sorting Hat and may we please ask the new arrivals to line up as we begin the Sorting of the Houses!
Oh you may not think me pretty,
But don’t judge on what you see,
I’ll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I’m the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There’s nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can’t see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true
And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you’ve a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin
You’ll make your real friends,
Those cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends.
So put me on! Don’t be afraid!
And don’t get in a flap!
You’re in safe hands (though I have none)
For I’m a Thinking Cap!
Let us begin!
Sally (Mahou Tsukai Sally)
This young witch was so fascinated with muggles that she decided to live with them, helping them through her magical powers. And while doing so, she keeps her magical lineage in secrecy.
Sorting Hat: For her natural loving attitude and stealth (as she tries her best to keep her true identity a secret), Sally must be sorted to Ravenclaw!
Chappy (Mahou Tsukai Chappy)
There are a number of “firsts” that make this young witch worthy of her House. She is the first of her generation to use a wand and with Hogwarts full of pride in announcing, she is also the first to battle a villain with a very sinister name, but no it’s not Lord Voldermort.
Sorting Hat: There is only one House that deserves such heroism and that is Gryffindor!
Megu-chan (Majokko Megu-chan)
The first ever witch to be sent to the muggle-world to live like a half-blood, this witch has learned how difficult it can be to be powerless (or almost). She has learned the very emotions that make muggles so fascinating and thus have made her wiser than any pure-blood.
Sorting Hat: This witch has clearly shown a wise mind having been able to contend with both the wizarding community and the muggle world, and therefore must be placed in Slytherin!
Tickle (Majokko Tickle)
Another witch who lived in the muggle world! She was saved in a picture book and since then has decided to live with her liberator as its twin sister!
Sorting Hat: Any wise witch deserves to be in Slytherin!
Lalabel (Mahou Shoujo Lalabel)
Known early on for her daring struggle to stop an evil wizard from stealing magical objects, this young lady of magic sure has shouldered a great reaponsibility on her own and with her familiar, Bira (a cat), has done so much to the wizarding community.
Sorting Hat: It is therefore no surprise that this witch clearly belongs to Gryffindor!
Kiki (Majou no Takkyubin)
At such a young age, this witch has made herself popular with the muggles and has even started helping them with her delivery job. This witch may well become a great mediator between the muggles and the wizarding community.
Sorting Hat: Her humble and heroic nature is making me confused. Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw? No, not Slytherin… Or perhaps…Gryffindor!
So it seems this witch was banished to the muggle world after causing a ruckus in her fairy forest, however, this lady reminds Hogwarts of some people who have been causing quite some stir yet proved themselves heroes in the end…
Sorting Hat: No need to think twice, this witch should be put where those three young wizards used to be in: Gryffindor!
Chacha (Akazukin Chacha)
Ah…what a ball of fun and laughter this young witch is! At such a young age, however, she has conquered so much in the wizarding world. Just ask her two pals. Quite a talent this young witch is!
Sorting Hat: And great talent belongs to Slytherin!
Sae (Mahou Tsukai Tai)
Clumsy…yes…weak…no. Determined…very much a yes! This witch flies really well on a broom, so it should be no surprise if she makes it to the Quidditch Team of the House she would be sorted into…
Sorting Hat: …which I decide is…Ravenclaw!
Doremi (Ojamajo Doremi)
This young apprentice of a witch stor-owner may cause a lot of mishaps, yet her heart is just as pure and strong as a unicorn’s horn.
Sorting Hat: Before this young witch cause any more trouble, I’m going to put her in Hufflepuff!
Robin (Witch Hunter Robin)
Not many of us wizards are born firestarters and as with the negative connotation of the burning flame are sometimes etched on peoples’ minds, this witch proves them the other way around for she is very loving and trustworthy, despite the first impression one may throw at her.
Sorting Hat: Reminiscent of a professor who always had the best intentions but had to be cast down as pure evil. I honor of that certain professor I put this witch in Slytherin!
Alice (Tweeny Witches)
It’s not easy to dishearten this strong muggle-born witch. Her human characteristics make her a person with a balanced outlook and one who strives to bring nothing but happiness.
Sorting Hat: Hufflepuff!
Chocolat (Sugar Sugar Rune)
Daring and outgoing, this lady with bright orange hair may do well to be nicer (especialy to boys). However, this does not make her less of a better person. Inside a tough witch is a tender heart!
Sorting Hat: Hmmm…I say Ravenclaw!
Now then, with the Sorting finished, let us all enjoy a bountiful dinner. Oh, and to the new arrivals…Welcome to Hogwarts!
